Mentored Birth Doula*

  • 2-3 Antenatal visits of up to 2 hours each. During these visits we can discuss your plans for birth, the support you feel you and your birthing partner need from me, what to expect from labour and birth and the Post Natal period – also known as the 4th Trimester. (We are of course not limited to these subjects!)
  • Phone, text and email support during pregnancy
  • On call from 37 weeks of pregnancy up until your baby is born
  • Support during labour and birth
  • 1 postnatal visit
  • Phone, text and email support up to 6 weeks after the birth of your baby

Cost: £600. (50% payable on booking, remainder at 37 weeks prior to on-call period)

Mentored Birth Doula – Late booking

Should you decide last minute you and/or your birth partner would like extra support during labour and birth. Please give me a call and lets discuss your needs. If I am not on-call for another client I will do my very best to get to you. Included in this package is the following:

  • Support during Labour and Birth
  • 1 post natal visit
  • Phone, text and email support for up to 4 weeks after your baby is born.

Cost: £300 (100% payable on booking)

What is a Mentored Doula?

I currently have a Birth Mentor (An experienced recognised Doula registered with Doula UK) who is there to support and guide me through my time of becoming a Recognised Doula. (Also known as Accreditation) Although it is not a necessity to become ‘Recognised’ to work as a Doula I feel I want to give the best support to all of the families I work with and to be the best Doula I can possibly be for you. 

Having a mentor to check in with and debrief after each birth client will enable me to reflect and learn from each experience until my Mentor believes I no longer need such support. 

Benefits to hiring a Mentored Doula:

  • 2 for the price of 1! Through me you will gain the knowledge and expertise of my experienced recognised Doula Mentor.
  • A mentored Doula is often cheaper than a recognised Doula
  • I will only be taking on one new birth client at a time so you can rest assured as soon as I receive your call and have arranged child care I will be with you at your chosen birthing place as soon as possible.
